Public involvement is very important to MedFlight. Every year we attend many Public Relations events such as Safety Days, Public Safety Department Open Houses, and many others. Some of these events involve the helicopter or the Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or both modes of transportation.
In cooperation with local fire, police, and EMS agencies, MedFlight is a proud supporter of local school Prom/Graduation programs, a demonstration to at-risk students on the dangers of drinking and driving. The demonstration emphasizes the "golden hour" after an accident occurs, the different entities that are involved, and the expertise that fire/EMS/law enforcement agencies demonstrate in caring for the victims of a motor vehicle accident.
Regrettably, MedFlight cannot attend events such as visits to schools, daycares, church events, and scouting events. In cases such as these we encourage the organizations to visit the MedFlight location of their choice for a Base Tour.
If you are not sure of the eligibility for one of MedFlight’s vehicles to attend your event, please feel free to complete the Request Form anyway. Someone will be in contact with you to confirm and verify the information.
